Situated in the Lincolnshire village of Colsterworth, a quarter of a mile west of the A1 Colsterworth flyover and bordering the neighbouring counties of Leicestershire, Rutland and Nottinghamshire. Stamford and Rutland Water are only a short drive away.

An ideal location to relax and explore what this unspoilt area of Lincolnshire and surrounding counties has to offer. York House is conveniently positioned to enable our guests to easily access the A1 for Scotland, the city of Lincoln, Belton House in Grantham, Burghley House in Stamford, Rutland Water, the city of Peterborough, London and the East Coast.

We are in Lincolnshire but are very close to the Counties of Leicestershire (Melton Mowbray is only 13 miles away) and Rutland is about 4 miles.

Woolsthorpe Manor is the birthplace & family home of Sir Isaac Newton. Owned by the National Trust and within walking distance of York House, it offers visitors a ‘hands on’ science centre.

We are conscientious about preparing & serving the foods that we offer to our guests. We aim to provide fresh, tasty & nutritious meals, using our own home grown or local or regional suppliers. We offer alternatives to the traditional Full English Breakfast.

If you require a special diet please let us know.

from Northfield farm, who are registered rare breed farmers. Also, We offer Rutland water trout from our Award winning breakfast menu.

In line with Health & Safety requirements we only cook with grade A fresh free range hens eggs. We choose to cook with grade A free range eggs because they are the best and we are supporting the hen’s needs for natural day light, fresh air and freedom to roam.
